Adrienne Kilkenny

Adrienne is the CEO at Threshold Training Network

Adrienne grew up in the West of Ireland and enjoys walking the rugged coastline of her native County Clare.

Having worked in Corporate for over 20 years Adrienne made a career change into the field of education when she completed her HDip in Further Education at Maynooth University in 2017. Her passion for education and community work saw her volunteer on community projects such as Failte Isteach and Better Basics while she also worked as a trainer in Youthreach and in adult education.

She first started in Threshold Training Network as a trainer delivering the mathematic modules as well as nutrition and healthy options. Adrienne is passionate about easing maths anxiety for those who struggle with the topic and believes everyone has maths ability that can be enhanced with support.

She was very honoured to take up the post as CEO in 2022. In her role she continues to network with local organisations to ensure that the wonderful service Threshold Training Network, TTN, provides is offered to those who need it. Furthermore she tries to ensure that the amazing work by all the team at TTN is recognised for the transformative outcomes that it provides to those who partake in the programme.

While in her role she has secured funding for a variety of wellness activities such as gardening and nature workshops.

Adrienne has a keen interest in wellness recovery. She believes anyone can find their path in wellness if nurtured and given support on their wellness journey.

In her spare time Adrienne can be found singing with her choir, doing breathwork, relaxing with yoga or shopping with her teenage daughters!

She does love a cup of tea and a chat and welcomes everyone to stop by Threshold Training Network to say hello and explore how best they can be supported.

She hopes to see you soon for a cuppa!

Steven Fitzgerald

Steven is the Training Coordinator at Threshold Training Network

As an early school leaver with little or no career guidance Steven was drawn towards supporting people.  It was his belief in the untapped potential of people that can be marginalised that guided his early career.  His experiences of volunteering in the local community with youth and working abroad in orphanages in Mombasa, Kenya, made him decide to pursue a degree in Social Care. After many adventures and a while spent globetrotting, he went to college as a mature student. On achieving his Social Care degree he began working with Threshold Training Network in 2010. It has been here that he developed his understanding of mental health recovery and has been part of the leadership team to weave this model throughout all the organisations services.

He coordinates the education and training programmes, supporting both the students and trainers in the completion of portfolios and achievement of major awards (on The National Framework of Qualifications).  Facilitating groups is close to his heart.  He has introduced many, many students to mindfulness meditation, gratitude practices and  auricular acupuncture for stress and anxiety reduction.

In his spare time he can be found in his garden enjoying nature or teaching Buddy, his dog, the joy of meditating in the outdoors.
